What is Emotional Health?
Whereas mental health involves cognitive thinking and processing of information, emotional health involves being able to process and express your emotions in an appropriate way having a direct effect on how we feel.
Good emotional health will typically result in having positive expression of emotions and will enable us to feel happy and content.
We can spot if we have emotional health issues by how we feel. If we feel discontent, unhappy, unable to feel excited about anything, lacking in energy, these are all symptoms of a full cup of negative emotions. If left unchecked this can lead to depression.
It is usually as a result of hurt, pain and rejection and the way we process those emotions.
If we look at our emotions as a cup, this cup could be filled with either positive emotions or negative emotions. The content of our cup will determine how we feel and behave.

Sanitising the Emotional Cup
The Forgiveness & Reconciliation Service can walk you through the process of Sanitising your Emotional Cup. At the Freedom Centre, we have many years experience working with recognised tools that enable people to clear out the negative emotions in the emotional cup seeing a change in how they feel and behave.
